Toilet Repair + Installation

Do you have a problem toilet? Does it always seems to clog? Does it sound like it’s constantly running? Does it take a long time to flush or have no flushing power? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need some toilet help. At Savannah Thompson and Thompson we can be that help.

How Does A Toilet Work?

There are many parts to a toilet but the two major components are the fill valve (or ballcock) and the flush Valve. The fill valve’s job is to fill the tank with water. The Flush Valve releases the water stored in the tank and after filling, closes the flow of water into the toilet. At Savannah Thompson and Thompson we have over 40 years experience on all models and types of toilets. We’ll have your toilet running smoothly in no time flat.

Clogged Toilets

When a toilet won’t flush and needs plunging almost every time you use it, it can be demoralizing. Many times the problem is an obstruction somewhere in the line (we’ve seen it all, from fishheads to toothbrushes). We can locate what is trapped in the system, wherever it may be hiding.

How Old Is Your Toilet?

Older toilets (manufactured before 1994) use 3.5 gallons of water every time you flush. The good news is that new low-flow toilets use only 1.6 gallons of water per flush with no discernible difference in flushing power. That is good news because according to the World Toilet Organization the average person uses the toilet 2,500 times per year. Now that’s a lot of water!

At Savannah Thompson and Thompson we can install these environmentally friendly toilets quickly and affordably. You’ll be doing your part for water conservation and you’ll save money. It’s a win win.

Running Toilets Or Compound Flushing

Your toilet is leaking if after you flush you can hear the water still running. Your toilet may also have a overly long refill tube if it flushes up to three times in a row. Wasting up to 200 gallons of water daily is no joke and it’s terrible for our Savannah environment.
